I have been professionally tutoring students in Math for 2+ years. I work with students age 8-18, primarily in preparation for the SSAT, ISEE, SAT, or ACT. I am well versed in all areas of Math except Calculus. This includes basic Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and some Pre-Calculus. This makes up the most of my Math tutoring, though I do tutor some students for general help with classwork as well. Non-professionally, I have been tutoring students and peers in Math for 6+ years.
I am a history nerd, and I have helped students of all ages understand historical events and gain a better perspective on the world around them. I have been tutoring history since 2011 and helping students achieve their academic goals. Since then, I have increased my knowledge of events through many classes and, of course, keeping up with current events.

I have been helping people increase their vocabulary all my life. I have always been drawn to words and languages, and it is a personal hobby to learn more about words and their meaning. I have been formally tutoring students since 2011, and I have helped them increase their knowledge of the basic elements for words in English, of how Latin/Greek roots are incorporated into more complex vocabulary, understand the origins of certain types of words and use that information to identify the meaning of an unknown word, and more. With my help, your student can learn the tactics and rules behind increasing their vocabulary.

I have been studying Latin since 2007 and tutoring students in the subject (all levels) since 2011. My Latin is at the Very Advanced level, and I am adept at breaking down the complexities of the language to children of any age. I have been reading the works of various Latin authors such as Julius Caesar, Cicero, and Virgil for a long time now, and I am used to the various nuances of the language's grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and more. My mastery and understanding of the English language comes through years of studying other languages for the past 7 years. To date, I have studied over 7 different foreign languages, including Latin and Arabic, which I hold my degree in from Emory University. One benefit of learning foreign languages is that it teaches you to understand grammar, phrasings, and more in your native tongue when you put effort into truly understanding all aspects of the other language. Learning and speaking other languages has made my English much more precise and has greatly improved upon my own understanding of the language. Professionally, I have tutored students in all grade levels (including college students) in all aspects of English language studies, from grammar and vocabulary to literature and reading comprehension to writing and composition. I have done so for the past 2 years for students who need general help with the subject as well as those who are preparing for standardized tests such as the ACT.

In this area, I work with students on developing good note-taking, organization, listening, and observation/inference skills.

I have been a Classics student for since 2008, starting in high school and have succeeded at the highest levels. I have been involved with various classical organizations such as the GJCL and NJCL and have won multiple awards at their conventions in both Latin and Classics. I have succeeded on the National Latin Exam and CAMWS exams in the past and recently obtained a degree in Latin from Emory University (the reason why my degree is not in Classics is because I did not study Greek, though my transcript shows all the other qualifications). I am also a member of Eta Sigma Phi, the national Classics Honor Society.
