I have earned my B.A. and M.A. in anthropology. I am also a first year PhD Student at the University of Nevada, Reno. On August 25, 2014 I will be a part-time lecturer at Truckee Meadows Community College. I have also worked in the field of archaeology. I have attended one field school in the summer of 2008. I have also worked with a cultural resource firm called CRA, Inc as a field/lab technician. I had several opportunities working several Phase I, II, and III archaeological surveys as well as a historic cemetery relocation project.
I have a masters degree in Criminal Justice. I have also worked with a number of local and federal law enforcement agencies. For example, prior to my graduate studies, I worked as a seasonal Emergency Dispatcher at Yellowstone National Park. As a dispatcher, I was responsible for directing and redirecting radio traffic to law enforcement and emergency personnel throughout the park. In this position, I also gained experience using multiple law enforcement software and databases (CADENCE, OPENFOX, NCIC, and BOSS) and complied court files for law enforcement and other judicial proceedings. Finally, I have worked with the Missoula Police Department, the United States Marshals Office, and the United States Federal Court Clerk?s Office. Collectively, the strong interpersonal skills I gained from these professional experiences make me an excellent tutor.
