Even math can be fun! I encourage my students to view math as a puzzle rather than a problem. I taught algebra and geometry at several public high schools in Texas. I have also been teaching test prep for more than 10 years, so I am familiar with the math sections of the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT.
I taught standardized testing (LSAT, MCAT, and SAT) for 10 years at a major test prep company. I have an official LSAT score in the 99th percentile.
I taught MCAT prep courses for The Princeton Review for about 10 years. I started teaching MCAT Biology in the early 2000s. I later began teaching the MCAT Verbal Reasoning and MCAT Organic Chemistry classes for The Princeton Review. I have an official MCAT Biology score of 12. I also teach biology at the university level; I am currently teaching Organ Physiology at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
I taught SAT prep for The Princeton Review for about five years. During that time, I taught our retail course, and I also taught a school-based SAT course at a public high school for two years. I have taught over 1,000 students in SAT prep, and a significant part of my job involved college admissions counseling. I helped students complete applications, draft personal statements, and design resumes. I also performed private tutoring for a few students, which included college admissions advising.
I have worked in the test prep industry for more than 10 years. During that time, I mastered and taught the LSAT, MCAT, GRE, and SAT. My academic record in law school was impeccable, and I served as an Associate Editor of Texas Law Review. After graduating from law school, I passed the Texas Bar Exam on my first attempt, and I spent a year working for a premier commercial litigation firm in Houston. I am now practicing as a solo attorney, and I run a business that provides consulting to aspiring lawyers. I can offer assistance with the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE), and the Texas essay subjects.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame, and I attended graduate school in the biology department at UTEP, where I also worked as a laboratory Teaching Assistant. I later taught MCAT biology--which includes genetics--for a major test prep company for 10 years. I currently teach Organ Physiology at Southwestern University.
