I have experience as a paraeducator and as a substitute teacher in elementary schools over the past two and a half years. I have helped many students with their reading, writing, comprehension, and math. I have watched great teachers and learned a few things along the way.
I did undergrad work for six years as I obtained three different BA degrees. During this time, I had to learn how to study efficiently and effectively. I am currently working on my Master's degree online. Study skill are especially relevant as I balance studying and homework with two jobs and a marriage. I was a substitute teacher in the Rochester Public School District.
I have worked with special needs adults and children extensively over the past four years. I have worked as a direct support professional in a group home. My wife and I managed a home for adults with special needs where we had to oversee their physical care as well as implement programs and goals. I have been a paraeducator and substitute teacher in several different paraeducator classrooms. I am currently a one-on-one paraeducator for a sixth grade boy with autism.
