Medical School research associate with teaching of surgery methods in mouse embryo transfer and egg collection for microinjection of stem cells and DNA. Cardiology authorship in medical journals regarding heart metabolism and cardio-preservation during heart bypass Performed cardiac bypass surgery of canine, isolated heart model for ischemia studies in rabbit, and oviduct transfer/microinjection of mouse eggs.
I worked in Mouse Genetics Biomedical Core facility for 11 years, also known as Transgenic Animal Model Core (TAMC). We produced KI and KO (knock in and knock-out, respectively) mice for researchers at The University of Michigan. I educated graduate students about the design of mouse gene of interest. I performed task in mouse breeding facility regarding mating, pups born, chimera production, and selection of mouse strains from Jackson Laboratory and Charles Rivers.
