I have a long history of tutoring math and science at Austin Community College in addition to working as an engineer, so I can understand the application of the math and science. But more importantly, I want my pupils to learn the subject matter so they can solve problems on their own. I believe in a very patient approach that encourages the student to believe in their ability to learn the material and perform. So once my pupil begins to grasp the material, I challenge them to think on t... [more]

Algebra 1

I have extensive experience tutoring both high school and college students in all of the Algebra classes. My patient and thorough approach is proven to be very effective with students.

Algebra 2

I have extensive experience tutoring both high school and college students in all of the Algebra classes. My patient and thorough approach is proven to be very effective with students.

Calculus

I am qualified to tutor Calculus because I have passed the course at MIT and placed out of it at University of Texas at Austin. I also tutored the subject for 11yrs at the local community college. My patience and experience have proved to be very helpful in teaching the Calculus to both HS and College students.

Physics

I have extensive experience tutoring college students and high school students in the subjects of General Physics, College Physics as well as HS OnLevel and AP Physics classes. My patient and thorough approach is proven to be very effective with students.

Precalculus

I have extensive experience tutoring Pre-Calculus both at the high school and college level. My patient and thorough approach is proven to be very effective with students.

Trigonometry

I have extensive experience tutoring Trigonometry both at the high school and college level. My patient and thorough approach is proven to be very effective with students.

Differential Equations

I am qualified to tutor Differential Equations because I have passed the course at MIT, placed out of it at University of Texas at Austin, and took refresher course again years later at local community college. Since the course is replete with engineering word problems, my experience as an electrical engineer for past 13 yrs allows me to better explain to the pupil how to break down the problem and create picture of the system under investigation in the problem. Additionally, prior to becoming an engineer, I helped several pre-engineering students get through Diff EQ who went on to be accepted in accredited universities, like Univ of Texas at Austin.

Logic

I am qualified to tutor Philosophy of Logic because I have passed the course at local college with grade of A. As an electrical engineer for past 13 years, I have applied logic in my critical thinking and problem solving and computer programming logic. Finally, when I was a tutor at the local community college I had tutored multiple students in the same course of Introduction to Philosophy of Logic that I took.

Electrical Engineering

I have been in the Engineering field since 2000. And having started as an electrical engineering intern, I utilize a patient and careful approach while understanding the goals of a student: work through academic curriculum, and make transition into the engineering field. As an Integration Engineer, I was able to crossover into mechanical engineering. So I try to share my broadened understanding of the design process with my students to give them insight into the world of engineering and the many opportunities it affords the professional engineer.
