I have experience teaching and tutoring through precalculus. I approach Algebra 1 from a stand point of learning the steps of single variable problem solving and the techniques needed to solve for those variables.
Algebra 2 is an extension of Algebra 1. Techniques needed for solving problems in Algebra 1 are needed in Algebra 2. I make sure the fundamentals are present as we progress through the more complex steps of Algebra 2 problem solving.
I have a BA and an MA in Biological Sciences. I have had over 30 years of teaching and tutoring experience at both the college prep and AP level.
