As a stundent of civil engineering program, I've been involved in many problems that dealt with geometry. I love this subject more than any other. I was always good at it in high school too.
I'm a PhD Candidate in Structural Engineering at the George Washington University. I have successfully pass advanced courses in Analytical Mechanics both in my course work and PhD qualifying exam. I've been a teaching assistant at GWU for Vector Mechanics (Statics) for three years. I have studied and tutored high school and college Physics during my undergraduate studies at the University of Tehran. I have also been selected for the first and second round of National Physics Olympiad of Iran as a high school student.
Differential Equations is at the core of the modern science and without having proficiency at it none of my research at the graduate level could have been successful. I have been working with Differential Equations in structural analysis, finite element methods and solutions to very complicated non-linear and non-homogeneous physical phenomena using pure mathematics and computer codes for several years.
I'm an experienced user of AutoCad. As a civil engineer I produce 2D drafts and drawings daily as part of my job. I have also produced 3D AutoCad drawings for use in research laboratories. The latest version that I have worked with is AutoCad 2015.
As a PhD student in Structural Engineering in the George Washington University, I took and successfully passed Linear Algebra course with Grade A in 2013 as it was a PhD candidacy requirement. However the content of this course was extremely easy for me considering the fact that my research and education deals with Finite Element Methods and structural Analysis which are mainly based on Linear Algebra. Ever since then, I have helped several students of the engineering department with their questions and exam preparation for this course. I have also passed the exam of this course in my PhD qualifying exam in 2014.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Tehran. I continued my education and got my master's degree in Structural Engineering at the George Washington University and am currently a PhD candidate of the same university in same major. I have been a teaching assistant for Vector Mechanics (Statics), Structural Dynamics and Senior Design courses at GWU for 4 years. I've also been a teaching assistant and tutor of several undergraduate courses of Civil engineering during my studies at the University of Tehran. I have recently pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam with focus on Civil engineering in United States and am in the process to obtain my Engineer In Training license.
