I originally passed my own Series 63 in 1993. The "blue sky" laws, which is mostly what the Series 63 is about, is something which I am familiar with, especially having bought/sold municipal bonds over the last twenty years. Conveying why both state and FINRA regulators are so concerned with these topics is something I would be able to convey to a student to help that student approach the subject matter in a way that will more likely lead to success.
I currently hold an active Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 63, and 65. Previously, I also held a Series 3 and 55. I have been in the financial services industry since 1993. I have taught professionals in the military, financial services, and insurance in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors.
