I am an avid reader, therefore I am familiar with more than a few authors and their writings, both classical and modern. I currently teach reading and comprehension skills to middle school students who are below grade readers using the Scholastic Read 180 program. I take great pride when I see them start to like to read and become grade level or above grade level readers.

I have taught and am currently teaching Read 180, a scholastic reading program that teaches reading fluency, comprehension, grammar and phonics to struggling readers. It is a highly effective program of study and I have had struggling students in 6th grade become proficient readers in 8th grade.
