I currently work as a Teaching Assistant at an elementary school within the Fort Wayne Community Schools district. I am a graduate of Indiana University- Purdue University of Fort Wayne (IPFW) with a Bachelor of Psychology, and am currently obtaining my Master of Industrial Organizational Psychology. While working as an assistant, I help to both manage the classroom, teach lessons and work with smaller groups or 1:1 to better the student's ability to comprehend a subject. Many of the subjects in which I have taught include Literature, Reading, Comprehension, Writing , Spelling and Math. When working with smaller groups or 1:1, I try to focus on the needs of one student at a time if they have been found to need more help so that I can better understand what it is that they need more focus on. While this is occurring, I am also engaging other students in the activities at hand.
