I am also endorsed in Gifted Education from thr University of Virginia. I retired from VBCPS in 2009 after a successful career teaching in grades K-2 and also as a Gifted Resource Specialist in grades K-5. Study Skills

Part of training for the teaching of gifted and high ability students was to understand their specific needs. Many gifted students need help with organizational skills. Using a variety of strategies, assistance is given to students to help them in this area. Helping them to understand their self-efficacy allows for better grades in school.

After retirement, I was hired as an SOL tutor for students in grade 3-5 in math and reading at local elementary schools.
