In August 2010 I received TEFL Certification from Oxford Seminars in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During this intensive summer course we studied ESL instruction methodology, classroom management skills, and prepared mock lesson plans. From September 2010 to June 2013 I lived in Moscow, Russia as an ESL teacher. Through first-hand experience I learned to adapt my lessons to meet the needs of individual students and groups. I taught 15 contracted classes and worked with a further 15 students as a private tutor. My students consistently achieved their language acquisition goals throughout my ESL career. For example, every single one of my IELTS and CAE students either attained or exceeded their target score.
