I have many years experience as a tutor, including a full school year tutoring elementary students. During that time, I tutored students who were significantly struggling in math and managed to help those students raise failing grades and grow in confidence as learners. I attempt to break math problems down and emphasize understanding over rote completion.
I currently work as a software developer and have a background in computer programming, having completed coding bootcamp at The Iron Yard. I'm strongest in computer programming and Internet protocols, but have a general knowledge of algorithms and the math underpinning theoretical computer science.

As a programmer, my daily practice of having to think through abstract problems helps me to apply logic to puzzles and everyday situations.
