Study Skills

I have worked with students from Elementary to graduate School and I strongly believe that study skills among others such as learning to be focus, productive, efficient, and committed are just as important to be successful in graduate school as they are in Elementary school. Excellent study skills can then become habit or second-nature and help a student become a lifelong independent learner. It is all about having a positive attitude! These are just some of the things I share with all of my students (and parents) of all ages as I have a lot of experience in working with students of all grade levels. I have tutored professionally since 2009.

I have a strong background in Economics and have thus been able to help students in QMB, Excel, time value of money, discounted cash flows, present value calculations, decision analysis, tree decision diagrams including probabilities. I also have experience in entrepreneurship, cost-benefit analysis, scarcity, game theory, microeconomics, and macroeconomics among many other topics relevant for students majoring taking Business or Business related courses.

College Counseling

I have worked in higher education as a tutor in Broward College, Davie campus where I was an advocate for students registered with the disability office. I also worked as a tutor and instructor at the university level since 2011 so I'm familiar with key areas when considering a college: tuition, geographic location: proximity to home, financial assistance, college entrance requirements, in-state vs out-of-state tuition, degree of choice, post-graduation plans, and student loans debt to name a few.

I have tutored Biostatistics and Epidemiology. I have also tutored Epidemiology at the undergraduate level. I have worked with nursing students pursuing a Masters or a phD providing tutoring in SPSS, statistical output & published papers interpretation, experimental design, survey analysis, and statistical methods among other areas.

I worked in the BC TRIO program from August 2009 to August 2011 tutoring students registered with the Disability Services Office. I have tutored students with dyslexia in Statistics and SPSS related classes. One student in particular went on to pursue a Masters in Sociology.

I have a B.S. in Statistics with a 3.92 GPA and have taken combined undergraduate and graduate level Statistics courses. I have also taken Econometrics courses while pursuing my B.A. in Economics and my M.S. in Economics.
