Expertise in programming, video editing, & multimedia

To all potential students of mine, I will be delighted to help you towards whichever goal you'd like to achieve from getting tutoring, whether it's for school, a certification exam, or even a personal project. I've tutored my own colleagues, fellow former classmates, graduate students, and even post-doctoral researchers for over 4 years with programming for a wide array of languages, including Python, R, Unix, MATLAB, and Excel VBA. I love to code, as well as teaching others the fun of having... [more]

Microsoft Excel

I've been an avid Microsoft Excel user ever since Office XP. College classes in which I've implemented Excel at an advanced level include Cell Biology, Applied Statistics, and Physiology. As a current Research Assistant at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), I handle troubleshooting and tutoring for several aspects of Excel, including importing data, formatting, and implementing VBA-powered macros. Recently, I've developed user-friendly Excel spreadsheet applications powered by VBA, both for OHSU and in the business field for SoCalMotoGear.

Computer Programming

I currently lead efforts in promoting education of Data Science for an entire university department. This includes providing teaching in Python, R, MATLAB, and other programming languages. I've been tutoring students for over 3 years, helping them learning computer science for the first time.

Video Production

I took 4 years of video production classes during high school. My professional video editing and production experience spans over 8 years. I've tutored for this skill under a college setting (students and faculty) as a Digital Lab Assistant for 4 years. Lastly, I've been honored with a SkillsUSA National Conference award for my work with video editing.

Linux

I developed advanced bash scripts and workflows for others in a Linux server as a software developer and system administrator for the Ubuntu/Debian operating systems. Trained others in mastering the command line, and harnessing the power of programming languages like Python, R, MATLAB, C, and bash.

MATLAB

I've been an avid MATLAB developer since college. My experience with MATLAB spans many sectors of software development, including system administrative tasks, executing algorithms, troubleshooting code, and maintaining GUIs. As a Research Assistant at OHSU in Portland, Oregon, I currently develop programs analyzing fMRI imaging data using MATLAB and other languages that interface with MATLAB.

Python

I've applied Python in several upper-level college courses, including Computational Biology and Artificial Intelligence. During my undergraduate years, I've also tutored classmates in programming with Python. In addition, I currently develop and instruct others in Python at the Oregon Health & Sciences University.
