I am a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from National Strength and Conditioning Association, Master from Azusa Pacific University in Physical Education, Certifed Personal Trainer with National Academy os Sports Medicine, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist.
I have taught classes in macronutrient and micronutrient breakdown as well as caloric balancing with regard to negative and positive energy balance. I teach body fat assessment as opposed to BMI to calculate BMR to properly measure a client's Total Daily Need (TDN). From there I teach clients how to shop better using the myplate.gov standards of nutrient balancing.
I have taught students in the area of exercise testing and exercise program design for individual and group exercise situations. I have also prepared students for national certification exams and specific subject matters in fitness. My student activities ranged from triathlon and marathon preparation, to hiking and 5k running, as well as a range of team and individual sports.
