I value different experiences of sharing and learning. I was working as a part-time English tutor back to China while I was also a full time journalist on local TV. Majoring in broadcasting provided me with a good opportunity of practicing my Mandarin as well as understanding Chinese culture deeply. I was teaching Mandarin for one year in Carnegie Library as a volunteer. From my experience, introducing culture and the difference between China and America is a good way to inspire students to learn Mandarin. Mostly, Chinese websites are my teaching resources, and I am also sensitive about the most popular terms in Chinese which can be very useful if you are interested in visiting China. For Children who want to learn Chinese, I always introduce them interesting activities that can represent Chinese culture. Along with some craft making or painting, children usually are motivated to learn Chinese Characters.
