I grew up in a single family household so I needed to adjust my study skills to accommodate the lack of a full-time parent. Repetition skills and memory association skills allowed me to complete a graduate and doctoral degree in spite of brain injury that created short-term memory loss. I graduated from graduate school with a 3.4 GPA and my doctoral program in the top of my class.
Currently a Social Entrepreneur with background as a federal Program Manager providing technical assistance to businesses through Dept. Of Commerce. I have 25 years in Consulting field with five years in FDIC as An Operation Specialist. Led business development teams to service more that 1000 small to large business in Southern and Central California.
I strategically teach Adult learners in any number of career development skills from basic education, job preparedness, college selection, academic testing and career expansion. Weighing the opportunities against the challenges to develop a plan for growth that adequately fulfills the individual's economic goals.
I passed my CBEST Test in 2001 with a cumulative score of 128 the first time. I also have my CA Teaching Credential to teach adults and high school students in General Education, Business, Marketing, etc.
I currently have a Substitute Permit for one year for K-12 classrooms and Homeschooling population. In addition, I have a CA Teaching Credential for Adult Learners and taught upper division College courses and Tutoring for Homeschooled youngsters. My certifications are issued through the Commission on Teacher Credentialing for the State of California.
