I get a lot of joy from hearing my students say I helped them overcome a hurdle, like: scoring well on test, submitting a polished project or completing a degree. I've tutored Finance and 'Finance-adjacent' courses for about 9 years. I specialize in tutoring the subjects I use everyday in my profession as a Wealth Planner at a prominent financial services firm. I hold many professional designations related to the subjects I tutor like: Series 7, Series 66, Certified Investment Management An... [more]

Microsoft Excel

I've used Microsoft Excel for the last 16 years. I currently use it daily for investment analysis and financial planning. I gained extensive experience with Excel though my Certified Financial Planning coursework. My sessions may include helping my students work through assigned Excel homework, but I will always bring exercises related to accounting, statistics, and/or general use, depending on the student's needs. I also can help my student's prepare for the Microsoft Excel Expert exam which can be used to gain Microsoft certification.

Finance

I enjoy learning the language of Finance and teaching others how to speak it. In the last 3 years, I've taken and passed over 20 proctored exams related to finance, as part of my development working as a Personal Financial Planner at the largest wealth manager in the world. Those exams have led to 5 designations, including: Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Certified Investment Management Analyst(CIMA), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) and IRS Enrolled Agent (EA). I also completed Certified Financial Planner (CFP) coursework and passed the CFP board exam. My earliest experiences with Finance began in middle school when I competed on a Simulated Stock Market Trading team. My college courses included: Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Personal Finance, Futures and Options Market, & Investments. From corporate finance to personal financial planning, I've experienced it all-- I enjoy nothing more than sharing that knowledge to help my students gain a better understanding of Finance.

Series 63

I passed the Series 66 earlier this year and the Series 63 in 2011. The Series 66 is a combination of the Series 63 & Series 65. Although the passing score is 75%, I passed with a score of 91% on April 8, 2015.

I am currently Series 7 licensed. Although the passing score is 72%, I passed with 88% on my first try March 4, 2015.
