I have over 15 years experience as half time faculty for a state university where part of my responsibilities include advising students on degree programs and careers. Since 2008 I have also been an advisor to non-degree students. In both jobs, the majority of my students have been career changers or working people who seek job advancement through additional education. I have a Master's degree in Social Work and I believe it is important to serve as well as teach. Therefore I am a member of the National Career Development Association and have a private practice providing career counseling to adult learners.
I have a master's degree in social work and have been an academic advisor for over 15 years. I advise traditional age college students on selecting a college as well as course registration, degree programs and careers. In addition I advise non-traditional students who are changing careers or deciding on graduate or undergraduate degrees or prerequisite courses, or who are trying to balance work and life and college.
