I am currently studying Mathematics at Biola University with a concentration on Pure Mathematics. I am also in the Honors Program and am studying a music minor. As such, I focus on teaching students to balance their workloads while staying energetic about subjects they love. I have 130+ hours of tutoring in primarily math, but also AP classes throughout high school. I have scored 5s on AP Calc BC, Statistics, Physics B and C, Psychology, English Language and Composition, European History, ... [more]
I tutored some 8th grade twins for 2 weeks once and helped them raise their grade from a D to an A. I understand from my personal experience in math honors that the classes are fast and that falling behind can quickly become stressful. Therefore, I patiently make sure my students have a thorough understanding of the material.
As a math major in undergraduate studies, I have taken many calculus classes. I have tutored the introductory differentiation and integration for 4 years now. Further, I am taking an 2 part class called Real Analysis that can be likened to Calculus 5. Hence I understand Calculus forwards and backwards and to its foundations. Also, I can tutor multivariable calculus.
I briefly worked at my school's writing center and am currently in a humanities great books program.
I have played trumpet for 8 years and have taken lessons for 4 of them. I am studying a trumpet performance minor at Biola University. I was lead trumpet in my high school's wind ensemble, jazz band and marching band for 2 years.
