Writing is one area I continue to hone my skills as an instructor. I regularly attend Lucy Calkins Summer Reading and Writing Institutes to grow as an educator. Teaching Math is an area I grew to love after taking courses at Bank Street College of Education. It was this University that enabled me to correct and clarify my personal struggles with some mathematical concepts. Now I am able to assess a young mathematician on how they approach and think about their solutions. I can provide remedial assistance to hone in on the gaps students exhibit.
