As as youth, my dream was to become a teacher. I completed college and went in to the medical field. I have worked in several offices where I have educated patients on how to better managed their health. I have worked as an Allied Health Instructor. During that time I taught a Professional Development class on several occasions. In this class I taught the students interview skills, how to create and prepare a cover letter, resume and references when applying for a job. I also taught the students how to dress and did mock interviews with the students.
As a Program Director at a college, I often had to provide counseling to the students in my program. I counsel students about their attendance, grades, many personal matters that would prevent them from completing their education.
As a pre-school teacher, I have taught many youth how to print and write in cursor while learning their ABC's. I worked as a pre-school teacher for over six years, and I have worked with many youth who were on different levels of learning, so I often adjusted my style of teaching to fit that student's individual needs.
