Science, Math and Computer Programming Tutor

My background is rooted in science and mathematics with degrees in Biology (BS, Minors in Chemistry and Computer Science) and Distillation(MSc). Focal points include: ?biology (microbiology, zoology, genetics, bioinformatics and genomics) ?statistical analysis ?programming (C++, java, C#, Python). The breadth of my knowledge is not limited to the above list. Throughout my academic career, I have been compelled to learn many different subjects and study at several different institutions. Zoology

Before switching focus to genetics and computational biology, my major was marine zoology for two years, requiring course work in general zoology, ichthyology and marine mammalogy.

C++

Have a peer reviewed conference publication from an evolutionary algorithm I wrote in C++. Developed analysis tools in C++ throughout graduate experience and continue to do so. Team taught a bioinformatics class where I had to hold office hours to help students with coding projects. Numerous programming classes taken.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Currently, I work for Beverly Hills Unified School District as an Instructional Aide in the Special Education department. I have been assigned to a middle school ASD student and have been his one on one for the last 6 months of the school year. I have also undergone CPI training for non-violent physical intervention as it pertains to at-risk students.

Genetics

I have class work in genetics, population genetics, genomics and bioinformatics that spans both my undergraduate and graduate experience. I worked on research projects that looked in the molecular evolution of bacteriophages and how host genetics impact their evolution. Aided several statistical analysis projects involving SNPs.

C#

Used to create windows form versions of tools I created throughout undergraduate and graduate experience. Publication in peer reviewed computer science conference used code I created with C#.
