Michael is a tutor and screenwriter in the greater Los Angeles area. He holds an MFA in screenwriting from the University of Southern California. In addition to his feature success, Michael has also seen publications in theatre (Chasing Clouds, The Blue Rose, and Dead Gallery), comics (Unlawful Good: An Anthology of Crime), and literature (Contract Terror and Speechless).
Through four years at Eastern Michigan University, I obtained a bachelor's degree in theatre arts. While in school, I was frequently cast in multiple shows at once and walked away from college with 14 shows of experience. Additionally, at school I also held several TA positions. Here, I learned how to connect with theatre artists and how to motivate the creative muse.
Through two years at the University of Southern California, I obtained a master's degree in screenwriting. Here, I worked with some of the industry finest minds including James Franco (on The Mad Whale) and Mary Sweeney (on my thesis script). I now have a strong sense of character development, structure, and dialogue.
