I also taught Language Arts at Robert F. Kennedy High school and currently teach to writing/literature classes at the University of New Mexico. During the summer I am the Lead Facilitator/Teacher for Voces/Voices Summer Writing Institute for Youth. I was a reading and writing teacher for Native American Community Academy for two years. I have also taught writing at Robert F. Kennedy Charter High School and was a writing tutor at Central New Mexico Community College and the University of New Mexico College. I am currently an Adjunct Instructor for UNM and teach two evening classes, "Writers in the Community" and "Borderland Poetics." I have edited several award-winning literary anthologies, have interned at UNM Blue Mesa Literary Magazine and I was a tutor for both CNM and UNM, in which I assisted students in copy editing/proof reading essays, articles, and other assignments.
