Bilingual: English/Spanish Throughout my career as an engineer I have grown to focus on teaching and nurturing my teammates so they can become more productive members of the team. My success and satisfaction comes from knowing that I've helped someone become the best they can be at what they really want to do. I specialize in basic to mid-level math subjects, basic electrical engineering concepts, and several programming languages. I'm interested in providing the student with the tools n... [more]
I am proficient in basic math as engineering requires dominion over advanced mathematics concepts. I worked as an engineer for 12 years designing systems for UAVs and Navy ships. I tested systems on aircraft for the Air Force.
My family is from Puerto Rico. I lived in Puerto Rico from the 6th grade all the way up until graduating from college with a BS in Electrical Engineering. In high school, I took AP Spanish and passed the test with a score of 4 (highest possible score is 5).
For the past 8 years have worked building models and simulations in Fortran. Have worked with different variants of Fortran from Fortran 77 to Intel Visual Fortran. Modernized many different by getting rid of GOTO statements and adding modules to make code more readable and efficient. Conducted efficiency tests using native subroutines versus user created subroutines.
I graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez (RUM) in 2004. Have been practicing electrical engineering ever since graduation in my current profession. Designed a power distribution system for a UAV, evaluated several electrical designs for new hardware and programmed microprocessors for different embedded applications.
