Hi, My name is Wissam and I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at 18. My interest for teaching comes from my experience as an undergraduate tutor for the America Chemical Society at the University of Houston. I have taken many mathematics classes as a students and received honors in each one. I was a student tutor for Algebra in high school as well as my beginning years of university.

Biology

I recently graduated sum cum laude with a bachelors of science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I also worked for two years in a genetics laboratory dealing with Biology and Biochemistry subjects. I have been awarded merits for studies in Biology field.


Chemistry

I have tutored recently for the American Chemical Society. I tutored the subjects of Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry. After spending time with my students, they were able to increase their exam scores by an average of 15%.


Biochemistry

Tutoring for the American Chemical Society, I was able to share my knowledge with students on Organic Chemistry, including Biochemistry. Additionally, I received honors in both my biochemistry labs and biochemistry lectures.


Physiology

I have worked two years in a genetics laboratory. I closely worked with other labs, including endocrine labs. Many physiological concepts were used in our research which were shared at my presentations and weekly lab meetings. I look forward to sharing my knowledge on Physiology with future students.


Microbiology

I have worked closely with microbiology in a genetics laboratory for two years. I dealt with many microbiology concepts. Also, I received honors in my microbiology class as an undergraduate.


Genetics

I have worked for two years in a genetics laboratory. While researching with this group, I had weekly discussions and presentations at multiple institutions to discuss my research. My success in presenting my research within my research group, as well as outside my group has allowed me to be successful in sharing this knowledge. Also, while an undergraduate student, I received honors in genetics and genetics laboratory which were considered difficult courses at our institution.


Organic Chemistry

I have tutored for the American Chemical Society at the University of Houston for over a year. I organized tutoring sessions to aid students in understanding reactions, mechanisms, and nomenclature. After tutoring my students, they were able to increase their average exam scores by an average of 15%.
