For 15 years I've taught composition, literature, and creative writing at a local college (Northwest Mississippi Community College, Oxford campus). ACT Reading

As a magazine editor (Field Editor, Cotton Farming Magazine) I had to proofread submissions from freelancers, which honed my skills in the areas of grammar, syntax, editing, and reading fluidity. These skills have been further enhanced over the past 16 years, during which time I have been a college English instructor.

ACT English

My tutoring skills in this subject area derive from my ongoing college English teaching career, now in its sixteenth year. In addition, I am a published author (two books), and have been a weekly newspaper columnist for over ten years.

Anthropology

During undergraduate school, I earned a double major in anthropology, and between the Sophomore and Junior years and between the Junior and Senior years, I participated in Indian mound excavation at two different sites. As for tutoring ability, I have been a college teacher for 16 years, and am highly skilled in helping college students become more proficient in their studies.

Classics

For 15 years I've taught at a local college. During my ongoing college teaching career, I have always introduced western literature subjects I teach with an overview of the classics, and I emphasize to students that all western literature has its genesis in the classical literature of the Greek and Roman cultures.
