Ear Training

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music History/Music Theory from Spelman College. In addition to providing piano lessons, I also am available to solely help to develop your ear. I have received several awards from the MMEA, MSTMA, and the National Guild of Piano Teachers for my exceptional ears. In addition, I have provided ear training as a professional music teacher for over a decade in Prince George's County Public Schools, DC Public Schools, and M-NCPPC.


General Music

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music History/Music Theory from Spelman College. I also nearly 12 years of experience as a certified (in two states: Maryland/Washington, DC) as a music teacher. In addition, I have worked for nearly 7 years as a music history, music theory, voice, piano, and violin teacher/tutor.


Piano

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music History/Music Theory from Spelman College. I also nearly 12 years of experience as a certified (in two states: Maryland/Washington, DC) as a music teacher. I have instructed piano students in both the public and private setting using various methods such as Alfred, Yamaha's MIE, and DC Keys. I have received over a decade's worth of piano experience from Mr. Kenneth Thornton, Gary Dinn, and Michael Jones. In addition, I have served as a children's choir accompanist within Mt. Ennon Baptist Church and Prince George's County Public Schools.


Voice (Music)

I have received top ratings from the state of Maryland as a choral conductor, and have independently produced and vocal arranged critically acclaimed music projects. In addition, I perform in the Washington DC area as a professional vocalist as an independent artist, background vocalist and choir member. I can provide numerous references upon request.


Violin

I obtained a diploma in violin performance/composition from Suitland High School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music History/Music Theory from Spelman College. I I have received over 15 years of training in violin and work as a professional musician. Previously, I have been a member of the Atlanta University Center Orchestra and the Spelman-Morehouse String Quartet. Currently, I perform regulalry at church services and weddings. I have also nearly 12 years of experience as a certified music teacher within Prince George's County Public Schools, DC Public Schools and M-NCPPC.


Marketing

I have a master's degree in marketing from the University of Maryland.


Music Production

I have independently produced 3 music projects and can tutor students in arranging, vocal production, Garageband, and Cubase.
