While I was in college at Wittenberg University, I was a Supplemental Instruction Leader for two medieval history classes. For this position, I met with the professor to go over materials. I also completed training, which included learning different teaching methods and interactive learning strategies to encourage involvement, comprehension, and synthesis of subject content. I have participated in theatre since I graduated from eight grade (2007). I obtained a theatre scholarship for college. In college I also attempted to minor in technical theatre, but was not able to complete the minor due to one class being cancelled. I worked on theatre productions all through high school and college, doing hair and make up, costume, set construction, running crew, and acting.
I spent 4 weeks on an archaeological dig in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium with Eastern Illinois University where we excavated a 10th century castle. On this dig, we worked with the students of Universit? Catholique de Louvain and the head of archaeology for Belgium. Additionally took a class while in college at Wittenberg University from one of my professors who is an archaeologist. I also have my B.A. in History with a minor in Pre-Modern and Ancient World Studies, and am currently working in a living history museum.
