Elementary (K-6th)

I currently work in an early elementary classroom in a school for autistic children. From my experiences thus far and including my current position I am confident in my ability to adjust myself depending on the student and the day. At this critical time in a learners life, the brain is a sponge craving knowledge so it is important be thorough, repetitive, and extremely engaging so that these young learners begin to love what they are doing. As an elementary teacher, I do stress individuality in learning techniques and style.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

My current job is a teachers assistant at Search Day Program in Ocean Township, which is a school for autistic children ranging from ages 5-21. My daily duties consist of creating and organizing a structured lesson plan for the day, as every TA is one on one with an individual student and responsible for covering all content area. Since becoming a staff member, I have undergone intensive teacher training, and received other CPI and other health and safety certifications. I believe that with my patience, understanding, experience working with children with autism, and enthusiasm for what I do will capture the attention of your children and help to grow their independence.

I have been playing lacrosse for about 12 years. In those years I have played on a New Jersey state showcase team, an Under Armour Show case team, and at the collegiate level where I was a four year starter. I have tons of experience working clinics, camps, as well as one on one training. My passion for the sport makes a fun learning environment!

As a Teacher's Assistant at Search Day Program, I am responsible for working with my students to ensure that they practice hand writing skills daily. I understand the occupational therapy behind handwriting. Since we have such a diverse student body at my school, I have experience catoring and quickly coming up with ways to cator to specific students needs.
