I am a certified Copyeditor (UCSD), and I have a BA in journalism. I taught in public and private schools for over ten years and I have homeschooled my four children.
I have been an elementary school teacher for over two decades, and in my years of teaching, I have always been drawn to the students who need a little extra help. I especially love reaching them and helping their development. I have taught in public and private schools, and for the last 19 years I homeschooled my four children. I would love to support your child in developing good reading comprehension?the cornerstone of academic success.
I have a BA degree in journalism with a minor in child development. I taught K-6th in public and private schools as a full time, part time, and substitute teacher for ten years. I also taught homeschool for my four children for 19 years, including co-op classes.
Phonics is the core of reading, and developing this strong base leads to reading success. I have taught phonics as part of a reading curriculum for 19 years. Reading well is important for success in all academic subjects.
I have been a teacher for over two decades, and in my years of teaching, I have had many students with special needs. I especially love reaching these and helping their development. I have taught in public and private schools, and for the last 19 years, have homeschooled my four children. My whole family has been involved at R.E.I.N.S. for special needs students and adults here in Fallbrook for the last 9 years, and we all have an understanding and compassion for special needs children. I would love to support your child in remaining in the mainstream academic program.
Hard of Hearing
I have taken two college semesters of American Sign Language, and though I am not fluent, I am confident in communicating with a hard of hearing student. (My daughter is also hard of hearing.)
I have homeschooled my four children from preschool through high school-a 19 year journey. They have all gone on to university. I have also taught many homeschool co-op classes.
