After I graduated with my B.A in African studies from Howard University in 2015, I wanted to use my minor in Spanish while gaining teaching experience. I applied and was accepted by the Peace Corps as an Education Promotor for the Dominican Republic. There, I worked in elementary schools and in the community to improve Spanish literacy, cultural studies, and the occasional English class. I served as an Education and Literacy promotor for the Peace Corps in Dominican Republic. My primary focus was literacy for elementary school grade levels but also privately tutored high schoolers and adults and reading.
I have taken Advanced Spanish courses from El Camino Torrance and my Spanish minor was received from Howard University. I am a returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Dominican Republic.
I started technical ballet training at the age of 11 years old at a performing arts middle school. From that year on, I continued in ballet training as well as other technical dance forms that required a strong foundation in ballet. After high school I was accepted to train at a summer intensive at The Ailey School in New York. I then went on major in dance in college for 3 years, before an injury forced a change of major.
