I currently teach for Sistema Ravinia, an outreach program in the Chicago area modeled after El Sistema. The program provides the opportunity for musical instruction to children in school districts in which there are no, or small, music programs. This past summer I was a teaching artist at the Red Lodge Music Festival in Montana where I coached a brass quintet and conducted a student rhythm ensemble. In May, 2016 I completed a DMA program in trombone performance at Arizona State University where I studied with Professor Douglas Yeo. From 2013-2015, I was a trombone studio teaching assistant at ASU. In that capacity, I taught private trombone lessons to trombone majors, as well as to those majoring in other instruments; my duties also included conducting and managing the trombone choir and teaching the trombone methods class to music education students.
