I have extensive knowledge in tutoring from elementary math to calculus. I understand how important it is to take each problem step by step for understanding. I am able to work with elementary to graduate level students.
I work as a Data Management Analyst for the University of Florida. The programs I use are R, SAS, SPSS and Mplus.
In my master's program, I learned SAS, and I program in SAS professionally. When a student or colleague comes to me about an issue, I try to challenge them to understand what is wrong before walking through correction. I enjoy programming and I would like the opportunity to help people learn.
I have a master in public health concentrating in biostatistics. I am also a research statistician, but I have tutored several students in these concepts. I was a tutor for biostatistics while a student. The students that I have worked with respond well to step by step approaches to concepts, such as hypothesis testing or identifying bias and/or confounding in data analyses.
I have specialized in managing and creating databases in Microsoft Access. I have trained others in how to query in Access as well.
I was formally the research statistician for an epidemiology department for two years. I also have a Master's in Public Health.
