I've been working in the IT business for over ten years and tutoring/teaching basic computer and troubleshooting skills to first level service desk professional and beyond. I like to think of teaching as my superpower and I want to use it to empower others. :)
I've worked in several big corporations, such as 3M, United Healthgroup, and the Federal Reserve Bank. At these places I had to support Microsoft Outlook for sometimes over twenty thousand people. Needless to say, the diversity in the users I have supported has always managed to surprise me with some new feature in their email service. Regardless, I have always been able to solve whatever problem was thrown at me. With this skill I became the tutor at each of the aforementioned places with my coworkers and the "go-to" person for problem solving Outlook issues.
I split my time between playing video games, writing them, and teaching gaming to other people. My background in gaming comes from hands on experience. I believe that gaming can help us not only mentally, but also physically. I've taught kids how to engineer in Minecraft and I've helped adults solve puzzles in their games (whether they were coding in nature or actual gameplay).
