I have scored a 34 on ACT Math. I have earned A's in all of my math courses, ranging from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus BC. I have a strong understanding of many math topics within that range.
I have taken and completed both Honors and AP Biology in my educational career. I have earned A's in both, and scored a 5 on the AP Biology exam. Because Biology courses are very content heavy, I have come to realize that repetition of concepts is the best "teacher" for them. In my tutoring, I do not move on until the student is able to proficiently explain a topic to me in his or her words.
I have taken both Honors and AP Chemistry in my high school career, and have earned A's in both. I also scored a 5 on the AP exam, and am well acquainted with the content. In my tutoring of chemistry, I emphasize repetition of core concepts because a strong understanding helps students apply them to practical questions.
I have scored a 35 on ACT English. I have a strong understanding of not only many of the grammatical rules in English, but also am very familiar with common questions and mistakes that can show up on the ACT. In my tutoring, I emphasize time-saving techniques, as well as attention to "traps" that ACT test makers may include on the test.
I have scored a 35 on ACT math. I emphasize time-saving tricks and repetition of problem-solving methods in my tutoring.
I have scored a 36 on ACT Science. In my tutoring, I emphasize persistence (as this is the last section in the ACT), as well as close attention to detail.
I believe I have developed effective study skills throughout my educational career. I have maintained a 4.0 unweighted GPA, and have scored a 33 on the ACT. I can help students with tricks ranging from binder/folder organization to test question expectations to have. My study skills have helped me excel in school, and I hope to help others with them as well.
