I love to help the "light bulb" turn on in a student's brain. It is such a rewarding experience for me to work with an individual, finding just the "right" way to explain a concept. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education from Northern IL Univ. in DeKalb, IL. This teaching certificate qualifies me to teach K-9 in the state of IL. I have taught 3rd grade and substituted in all grades, most subjects. Furthermore, I homeschooled my son through 8th grade.
Hard of Hearing
I have used sign language since junior high school. I have also substituted in deaf classrooms. I have studied sign language at Harper College in Palatine. Also, I have worked for various churches signing songs for special occasions.
I homeschooled my son through 8th grade. He went on to graduate high school with a G.P.A. above 4. He competed and won a full academic scholarship to Northern Michigan University based upon his study habits. I also taught a variety of classes through homeschool networks in and around my hometown. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education.
