Music Theory

In April of 2015, I graduated with a BA in Music with a Piano emphasis from Grand Canyon University. Dusting the first two years (at Vanguard University of Southern California) I was a Theory/Composition major. In order to be a T/C major, private lessons in composition were required. In these lessons we were taught how to apply the theory concepts within our own pieces each semester.

Ear Training

In April of 2015, I graduated with a B.A. in Music with Piano emphasis from Grand Canyon University. Part of the degree is to complete all levels of study for Aural Theory, meaning rhythm sight-reading and sight-singing studies. In each of the ensembles (whether for band or for choir), sight-singing and ear training exercises were always tested. During all five of my undergraduate years I was either helping out fellow students or tutoring those who were in lower levels.

General Music

In April of 2015, I graduated with a B.A. in Music with Piano emphasis from Grand Canyon University. Piano performance was the main focus of this degree and included subject studies of piano pedagogy, performance, history of the piano along with all other undergraduate theory, history, class voices and ensemble performances. I also received private lessons in flute and voice where I applied all sight-singing and sight-reading techniques. For the 2011-2012 school year, I was also a co-teacher and accompanist for the Irvine Montessori School music department.

Piano

In April of 2015, I graduated with a B.A. in Music with Piano emphasis from Grand Canyon University. Piano performance was the main focus of this degree and included subject studies of piano pedagogy, performance, history of the piano along with all other undergraduate theory, history, class voices and ensemble performances. Performances each week were not only mandatory, but they were something that I enjoyed preparing for each week and semester.
