I teach a broad range of history courses on two college campuses. From Ancient History to Modern US and California History, I highlight the myriad of human struggles and accomplishments in every age and continent. I grew up helping my father with excavations of prehistoric Californian archaeological sites throughout Southern California. I have a PhD in history and teach college courses on world history, incorporating sociology and anthropology. I also teach US and California history, which incorporate a heavy concern with constitutional and economic history and theory. My college students are qualified to teach social studies after taking my classes.
I have a BA (Wheaton College) and Post-Bacc (U. Pennsylvania) certificate in Classics. My MA and PhD (GTU Berkeley) involved significant Greek and Latin coursework and independent research in the Classical World. I currently teach (CSUEB) university courses on ancient Greece and Rome.
