I've been teaching for nearly 10 years - I began at a Catholic Prep school for 5 years and then I taught at a public school in Massachusetts. I've also worked at the Massachusetts DOE where I wrote and edited the math MCAS exams (similar to the NYS Regents exams) and helped edit the PARCC exams. I've taught Algebra for 10 years and have above a 95% success rate on the NYS regents exam.
I've taught Algebra 2 for around 5 years. The students who were in my Algebra 2 class did exceptionally well in their Pre-Calculus and Calculus class.
I've taught Calculus for 3 years.
I've taught Geometry for 10 years and have above an 85% passing rate on the NYS regents exam.
For the past 2 years I've taught a pre-Course 1 (pre-Algebra) math class to students who had failed 5th, 6th, 7th, and/or 8th grade math. The class went through pre-Course 1 material as well as Course 1 material. Students were ready for grade level Course 2 by their sophomore year
I've taught Algebra 2 Honors, Trigonometry and Advanced Algebra, all of which have many topics which overlap with Pre-Calculus. I've also taught Honors Calculus.
I've taught Trigonometry for several years and was able to develop a unit centered around forensics using many of the Trigonometry formulas.
Logic used to be part of the NYS Geometry curriculum and it was on the NYS regents exam. I've taught logic for 6 years.
