As an applied anthropology I have taught college level anthropology classes. I have also worked in the nonprofit field with anti- violence against women agencies. I have taught basic skills; reading and study skills, at a local California State University for 4 years. I have also received training from the National Collegiate Athletic Association various learning styles and how to tutor to the student?s strengths.
I have a PhD in cultural anthropology. I have taught cultural and physical anthropology at various colleges and universities in the southern California area. I have had high school students in my community college classes and have learned how to adjust to their particular needs. I am also qualified to tutor high school level social studies.
My first job as a teacher?s aid at Oxnard School District, I was assigned to the local private Catholic school (the accepted a large number of overflow students from the district.) Handwriting was one of the primary skills taught and I was responsible to oversee, tutor, the student on their handwriting exercises. After two years of strict Catholic school requirements I am uniquely qualified to teach cursive handwriting.
