I was born deaf and got educated in a variety of deaf schools and graduated from Gallaudet University in majoring Deaf studies. I have taught American sign language (ASL) for less than 20 years. I use ASL to communicate with my husband and children. I taught ASL at a community college for 10 years. I am familiar of using the textbooks called ASL at Work and Signing Naturally. I am a president of New Jersey American Sign Language Teacher Association.
Hard of Hearing
I have studied Deaf Culture, and deaf related courses such as a History of Deaf Community, Oral Tradition and Deaf Community and many more. I can educate how to learn what a student can do from the right sources. I can try to provide the places where the student can collect the information in the deaf communities.
