I have experience as a law enforcement officer, a practicing attorney specializing in business law, criminal law, wills, and contracts. I have taught statistics in the Cal State system and at the University level for the past 15 years. I have taught undergrads, grads, PhD, and international students. I understand the things that scare students about statistics- math, equations, confusion about what tests to use, etc. I can make it all clear, and give you the confident to work out the math, and be prepared for any stats class you may take.
I earned a bachelors degree in business management and have advanced degrees in public administration. I also have experience in business law. I owned and operated my own service business for 10 years, and I operated my own law business for the past 6 years. I have helped new business owners write their business plans, apply for loans, set up their legal entities, and assisted in contract and negotiations.
Over the years while teaching statistics, I have also taught SAS. I have taught SAS for 15 years to thousands of students. I have used SAS to perform statistical analysis ranging from descriptive statistics to multiple regression. Although SAS is foreign to students, I have had great success in getting the to understand how to use SAS.
I passed the CA Bar exam in February 2012, and am a licensed attorney. I have taken several bar prep courses including Bar Bri, bar prep courses provided through my law school, a prep course for the multiple choice questions, and practical test portions. I have received several Cali awards in law school relating to criminal law, evidence, business, and writing. I have tutored several people preparing to take law school exams, as well as helping them to prepare for the CA bar exam. I discuss / use the different aspects of criminal law and contracts on a daily basis.
I have been in the criminal justice field for the past 28 years. I have taught criminal law, and introduction to criminal justice to high school and college students. I have taken law school classes based on criminal justice, criminal procedure, and criminal law. Finally, I have tutored college students in the area of criminal justice- from its beginnings to future thinking.
I have been practicing physical fitness for the past 20 years. I became a certified training 5 years ago. I understand physical fitness and how to encourage someone to lose weight, increase cardio, or improve their meal plan. Over the years I have helped hundreds of people get in shape, improve their health, and learn new exercises.
