I am an Engineering PhD student and National Science Foundation fellow with an Excellence in Teaching Certificate, now available for math and science tutoring at all levels! I have over a decade of experience tutoring in one-on-one and small group settings, for any high school or undergraduate math or science course as well as standardized test prep. I am available for in-home sessions or meeting at libraries or coffee shops in the East Bay with very flexible scheduling options. I am patient,... [more]
I am a PhD student in mechanical engineering at UC Davis studying differential equations in control systems. I recently published a peer-reviewed, open-source software package for solving differential equations. I have given talks and presented papers at academic conferences showing the result of solving differential equations. At my most recent presentation, Buzz Aldrin the American astronaut was in attendance!
I love linear algebra and use it almost every day in my research and studies of control systems, optimization, machine learning, and statistical signal processing. For my Certificate of Completion for the workshop Demonstrated Excellence: ?Scholarly Teaching Strategies to Maximize Student Learning? from the Center for Educational Effectiveness at UC Davis, I gave a teaching demonstration of a first lecture on linear algebra. I also have a paper under peer review at an education focused journal discussing connections between linear algebra topics that are not usually taught together.
