I have taught beginning college level writing at seven schools of higher education, both in California and abroad. I am able to guide students in how to choose and use credible sources to effectively support ideas. During 30+ years of teaching at universities in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE, I have proofread numerous theses, dissertations and articles intended for publication by students and faculty in science, technology and business fields. I was copy editor (chief proofreader) for the Arab Journal for Scientific Research for several years and have also edited several books for publication.

I first determined on which areas of IELTS students needed help the most (listening, speaking, reading or writing) and then focused on those areas. Overall, the key to success is to motivate students to practice outside of the tutoring hours.
