I'm Nick! I am a recent mechanical engineering Ph.D. graduate from UC Berkeley. In addition to my Ph.D., I also have a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University. For six semesters (three years) of my Ph.D. at UC Berkeley, I was a teaching assistant for undergraduate engineering classes that ranged from the freshman to senior level. These courses required me to give a tremendous amount of one-on-one instruction to students with various learning styles and experien... [more]
As a PhD student at UC Berkeley, I spent three semesters serving as a teaching assistant for a MATLAB course in the college of engineering. This course required me to work with students one on one in order to help them understand core concepts of MATLAB programming.
With my PhD in mechanical engineering, I have taken coursework spanning mechanical design, engineering materials, newtonian/lagrangian dynamics, etc. I have also served as a teaching assistant (three semesters) for a mechanical engineering senior design course which focused on mechatronics.
