I was trained at the Institute of Logopedics, which at the time I was there, was the only residential facility that accepted multi-handicapped students. Therefore, I have worked with all types of handicapped students. Plus, I lived on the campus for two years. I have a M.A. and B.Ed. in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Special Education. I have taught both elementary and adult special education students. Plus, I have Have developed numerous programs for Special Needs Students.
I was trained in the only residential setting (at that time) that provided services to multi-disabled individuals. I taught Speech Pathology in both a clinical and school setting. i served on multi-disciplinary teams that included physical therapist, occupational therapist, physicians, etc. In addition, I taught special education classes to both elementary and secondary disabled students and tutored International students-English as a Second Language. Also, established training programs for parents to help them in working their their disabled child.
